Michael H. Brown got his start as a ghostwriter for people enmeshed in the legal system when he was arrested, tried, and convicted in federal court in the Southern District of New York.  He wsa sentenced to 25 years, reduced to 10 years, then reduced to 5 years without snitching on anyone.  He became a "jailhouse lawyer" and got alot of other inmates released.  Since then he has written several books, starting in 1980, on how to use the legal system, the latest in 2025.
